Protecting our National Health Service

Screen_Shot_2015-03-31_at_21.15.23.pngFor me, protecting our NHS is vital. Our baby daughter was born with special needs and without the NHS, we simply couldn't afford the care she needs.

But our NHS isn’t safe in Tory hands. Private profit is being put before patients. Waiting times are going up. A&E targets being missed. Patients are struggling to get to see their GP.

Labour will put a stop to privatisation of the NHS. It will make it easier to see your GP and provide 20,000 more nurses and 8,000 more doctors.

"For me, the NHS is vital and protecting it is one of Simon's key pledges. Our NHS is under threat from a government which puts profit before patient care. I remember when the NHS first started. Before then you had to pay to go into hospital and to visit the doctor. You couldn't always afford it. Labour will always protect our NHS."
